I got my PhD at the University of Tokyo in March 2018. In April, I started to work as a postdoctoral scholar at Stanford University in the Moler group.

My previous research focused on microwave responses associated with magnetic resonance (magnon excitations) in multiferroic materials, which exhibit coupled ferroelectric and magnetic orders. At Stanford, I shifted my research focus to unconventional superconductivity using scanning SQUID microscopy, a highly sensitive magnetic imaging technique.

Although I was initially involved in establishing new experimental infrastructure—including preparing superconducting samples and commissioning a new cryogen-free He-3 cryostat together with students—the transition to a completely new research environment has been both challenging and exciting. Every day brings new opportunities to learn and explore unfamiliar physics.
